Website Monitoring Tool Review – Montastic is Free but doesn’t seem to work

I had posted about site24×7.com for website up-time monitoring and actually recommended it. However, I have found a much better deal that will allow you to monitor up to 100 websites at 10 minute intervals for absolutely free. We are dumping site24×7.com and moving to Montastic.

4/4/07 Update: We have been using Montastic and there appears to be too many false positives. We would get a number of email alerts telling us that one of our website is down but when in reality it’s not true. We recommend that you do not use Montastic.

  1. also you may try http://mon.itor.us – free monitoring service with many features. It does 30 min monitoring from 3 locations in Europe and US and provides live performance charts. It also provides an agent for intranet and deep system monitoring, as well as web traffic monitoring. Overall very unique service bundle at absolutely no charge.

  2. We’ll give this a try as well. Thanks.
